The Origin of VG Empty The Origin of VG

Post  vgmaster831 Wed Jul 29, 2009 1:40 am

VG walked with Sveltt with the smoky mist at their feet, assuming VG has feet. He quietly gasped as he saw the origin pool. He tilted his head and walked closer to it. When he stood about five feet from it, he stopped. "I feel a deep-rooted spiritual presence here." His mask cracked down the middle and exploded off of his face, he coughed violently. Blood spilled from his mouth. He wiped his face and pulled another mask out of his pockets, as well as a flask. He put it on and began taking large sips of chocolate milk. He turned to Sveltt as if nothing happened and nonchalantly said, "What is this place?"

((It's a good thing VG was facing away from Sveltt when his mask came off, or the fox might have seen his face.))

The Origin of VG Empty Re: The Origin of VG

Sveltt looked alarmed as he heard some liquid splatter to the floor.
"Sir, I apologise if I'm poking my nose in where it does not belong, but I'm beginning to worry about you," he said, almost too quiet to hear. Truth be told, he wasn't sure he wanted to be heard at this point.
He turned to survey the fog, and shuddered. "I believe we are close to the centre of Perenar. As much as I should love being here, I don't. There's something entirely too mysterious about this place- oh." He retreated a few steps. There were droplets of clear liquid skittering about the floor as if they were spheres of mercury. He avoided these carefully. "I wouldn't touch anything, if I were you. I've heard tales about this place." His heart was tugging him towards something. He wondered if this happened to all natives of Perenar. Sveltt stood his ground for now, awaiting VG's decision.

The Origin of VG Empty The Mask of Lies

Post  vgmaster831 Fri Jul 31, 2009 10:58 pm

VG ran a claw over his mask, eliciting a quiet scraping noise. He chuckled, "You need not worry, just a condition I have. I must say though, this place is anything but mysterious. It has an emanating aura of truth that was powerful enough to destroy not only the mask of lies," he tapped his mask, "but also many of my vital innards." VG looked across the pool, "What a wondrous place this is. Alas, I am a creature of lies." The masked figure looked around and sighed. He turned his white eyes to Sveltt, "I wish I could stay, but it would be best for my health if we hurried away from here towards the city."

Sveltt blinked, face revealing nothing but eyes shining with obvious concern. "Yes, sir. It pains me to hear of such things- ah!" He quickly lifted his left front paw as he felt a shiver run through it, and inspected part of the pad. Apparently contact with one of the droplets of liquid had turned a tiny patch of it into a thick scale that resembled a dragon's. This worried him, and he scraped it off onto the ground, removing it with few problems.
Sveltt reared up on his hind legs and stayed there, front paws drawn up to his chest. It seemed he rarely revealed that he was also bipedal, though this situation called for it.
"The Origin Pool is indeed possibly the most truthful place in Perenar, if one were to see it in that light. It gave rise to everything - it's still active, which makes mapping very hard. As for you, however, I suggest you hurry if it's afflicting you." He stepped carefully ahead, relaxing only when the droplets became too sparse to worry about. "And for heavens' sake, don't touch anything," he muttered, though this was mostly to himself.

The Origin of VG Empty The Red Mask

Post  vgmaster831 Sat Aug 01, 2009 5:06 pm

VG tilted his head when it was revealed to him that Sveltt was a bipedal. He recovered quickly as it was not even close to one of the strangest things that he had seen. He shivered and began to walk forward, "I sense something very bad nearby. We should hurry."

After walking for several minutes VG looked at Sveltt, and then to the sky. He crouched into a fighting position, and stepped back. He put a hand out and gently pushed Sveltt backwards as well. VG carefully pulled out a staff and held it with both hands, "Get ready Septimus." He held the staff above his head. He looked into the sky as a white and red figure began to come into view, yelling "KILL THEM HASTINGS!"

Sveltt allowed himself to be moved backwards. Sure, he knew more about Perenar, but to be honest he wasn't very experienced. He preferred to stay in the lakes... He put his trust in his new travelling companion, tail lashing, and prepared himself.
"Identify yourself," he called quickly. His voice was polite but grave, mainly because he disliked not knowing everything about a given situation and it made him uneasy.
He eyed the staff with interest, but was too distracted to give it much thought.

The Origin of VG Empty Truth

Post  vgmaster831 Thu Aug 13, 2009 3:52 am

VG pushed his staff upward, sending BT into the air. He jumped back and lashed out with Septimus (his staff). It clipped BT's mask, but did not damage it. He quickly pulled back his staff and thrust is at BT again, pushing her back. VG spoke in a hard tone, "BT, you are forgetting introductions. Sveltt, this is BT. BT, this is Sveltt."

Sveltt backed up slightly at the sudden flurry of violent movements, ears back. "I, er..." He blinked in confusion. "...Hello." He observed for approximately three more seconds before plonking himself down on the ground and looking as deliberately dead to the world and unimpressed as he could possibly manage. "Although you seem to enjoy being such an enigma, I will at some point during our travels require some sort of explanation. And if I get a riddle as an answer, so help me, I will stick your head in the Origin Pool. Or mine. Either way, it won't be pretty." A rather threatening speech it would have been, had he not ended it with a lighthearted chuckle. Apparently VG's spontaneous attitude was rubbing off on him.
He sat back to watch, though he had a feeling they'd end up stabbing each other or something. Oh, well.

The Origin of VG Empty Lies

Post  vgmaster831 Sun Aug 16, 2009 2:37 am

"BT, have you not learned your lesson?" VG grinned smugly. "Sveltt my friend, I want you to know something. I am not evil. I suggest you look away." VG looked down solemnly and then back to BT. He smiled, "BT, you are a silly girl. You hold pride in your truth and honor. You fight with it at your side, this is your weakness though. A brutal heart like yours that is not shielded by lies is susceptible." VG chuckled and walked towards BT, his eternal smile glowing. He dragged a claw across his mask, creating a screech. "I on the other hand," he said while putting his staff on the ground, "fight with lies!" A black dome rose to cover BT and VG. If Sveltt had listened well enough, he would have heard terrible laughter coming from inside.

After about 30 seconds, the dome dissipated. VG stood facing away from BT, and BT just stood. Suddenly, gashes opened across BT's entire being. Her white robes became stained red with blood. VG's smile was shaded with a twinge of regret. He turned swiftly to Sveltt as BT fell over into a heap on the ground. He spoke, "We should go Sveltt, I will give you any explanation you require.

The Origin of VG Empty Re: The Origin of VG

The odd amphibious creature merely looked on quietly. The only sign that he gave of having witnessed something odd was a slight twitch of the ears, a vague wince and a certain uncomfortable way he carried himself after that. "Well, that was certainly... something." He made a nodding movement in the general direction of Primia City, and headed off in that direction at a comfortable pace. "If you seem so eager to defend lies, then I suppose I should take everything you say with a pinch of salt, so to speak." He smirked slightly, though the scene back there had shaken him in truth. In any case, he hurried to avoid that subject. "Just tell me a little about yourself, if it's not too much trouble."

The Origin of VG Empty Salt?

Post  vgmaster831 Fri Aug 28, 2009 7:03 am

"Salt?" VG looked at Sveltt thoughtfully, "Well, I suppose. I mean lies in a much deeper way though, not petty untruths. However important they may be, they could never match up to a true lie like... say...." He tapped his claw on his mask, "This."

VG turned around so he was walking backwards and facing Sveltt. "Myself you say," VG nodded, "I suppose that is in order." VG thought silently for a moment, "I am a servant, to whom I will not reveal. I am a master, to many whom I will not reveal. I am an enigma, who travels across worlds. Of course right now, I am just a traveler by the name of VG." His smile glowed radiantly as he walked backwards straight into a tree. "Ow," he said, rubbing his head.

The Origin of VG Empty ...Right on cue.

Post  Authenti Fri Aug 28, 2009 3:57 pm

"An interesting way of putting things. Pardon me for saying so, but you have a very evasive manner." Sveltt chuckled. "In any case, I suppose I should introduce myself properly as well. I am primarily a water-dweller, but something has recently made me want to leave the lakes and rivers behind. I don't know why. It was like a magnetic pull, and I just felt as though I had to-"
He was cut off by something landing on top of him at great speeds from somewhere above him, as well as several pieces of glass showering all around him but not hitting him (luckily).

Authenti took a moment or so to pick herself up, groaning as her spine made a painful cracking noise and she put one hand to her back, taking on the appearance of some kind of grandmother-type figure.
Only when she was certain she wasn't harmed did she step aside and allow whoever it was that had cushioned her fall to stand up dizzily.
"Oh! Ahahaha! Hello, greetings, good day to you." She shook herself like a feral animal and showered more small fragments of glass onto the floor. "It may interest you to know that I have just been thrown out of a window on the seventeenth floor of the building over there." She pointed, and it appeared the group had arrived at the very edge of Primia City at last... although the buildings were sparse out here. "I do so sincerely apologise and- .....er, you over there, with the... mask. I want to make it perfectly clear that you're a bad influence to children. AS FOR YOU," she screeched suddenly at Sveltt, "YOU deserve to be locked up. You are... a horrible person..." She lost her balance and fell over backwards, and found her thoughts inexplicably turning to floral-print towels. "Bad dog." She promptly lost consciousness.
