In a nutshell, Daybreak Aria is a fantasy text-roleplaying website.

When you go to other roleplay forums, they often have strict character rules or restrictions, such as a definite time/era, no fan-characters allowed, or some kind of genre that makes it impossible to introduce certain characters into the setting.

On DBA, I decided to toss all that mucking about and just write a simple set of rules that are there only to make sure roleplaying is fun for everyone, and for no other purpose.The rules are there to make sure no one plays god with other people's characters or plays 'invincible'. And other than that, you're free to do as you please!

DBA's setting is Perenar - a strange and possibly magical region of uncharted lands that is eternally expanding from a single, central point. From this point, strange and often invisible energies find their way to the outskirts of Perenar - and there form new terrain and plant a new ecostructure. This means that all of the older areas are at the centre of the map... which, eventually, will be drawn up somehow.

There is no actual time period set for DBA, so feel free to introduce futuristic robots or prehistoric amoebas. It's all up to you.
